The Cord chest of drawers is produced in the small Danish town of Randers, with a local, very solid tradition in craftsmanship.

Hertel & Klarhoefer is a German duo of designers, Peter Hertel and Sebastian Klarhoefer, who met in school times and jointly studied architecture in Berlin and Venice. In 1999 they founded their design studio in Berlin. Their works are characterized by a combination of industrial logic with craftsmanship, which results in projects combining innovation with timeless aesthetics. The inspiration is derived from the city landscape of Berlin and travel, and their creative process is based on early experimentation with materials and prototypes on a 1: 1 scale. Working with the brand Bolia they created, among others soul seats collection, characterized by an elegant design and high quality and a series of furniture Cord connecting a solid oak with a paper string braid. Their designs are valued for the functionality, aesthetics and attention to detail, which makes them timeless and universal.
