Bibo is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable projects of the Pode brand. The armchair is equipped with a solid, swivel base, and the footrest is its best complement. The intriguing form with organic shapes and simple, horizontal lines makes it extremely inviting to relax.
The upholstery of the Bibo armchair can be chosen from elegant leathers and many high-quality fabrics (you can also choose a combination of 2 different fabrics). Similarly, the basis is the ability to choose between steel elements in varnish, epoxy resin or polished aluminum.
The presented armchair is upholstered with blue fabric, with black lacquered metal legs.
Claire and Roderick VOS is a Dutch duo of designers, which since 1999 has been running the Roderick VOS studio, specializing in lighting, furniture, textiles and accessories. They both finished the design of Eindhoven in 1990, and then gained experience in Japan and Indonesia, which influenced their aesthetics combining European craftsmanship with Asian precision. Claire, coming from a family with textile traditions, reinterpret classic techniques in a modern way, an example of which is the collection of "Liquid Layers" carpet for Moooi. Roderick focuses on functional forms, as evidenced by the "Twisty" armchair, the awarded Elle Deco International Design Award in 2023.
