Penguin is a modern dining chair from the catalog of the Danish brand Audo Copenhagen. The simple design of this iconic chair provides an extremely high level of comfort because it was designed to pleasantly hug the body while sitting.

The cut steel frame is powder-coated black, while the seat and backrest are made of wooden plywood and upholstered with beige Audo Bouclé upholstery fabric.
a few words about upholstery fabric
Audo Bouclé 02 is a high-quality upholstery material used by Audo Copenhagen in many of its furniture collections, such as Penguin and Harbor chairs, Eave sofas and Tearoom armchairs. A characteristic looped surface creating a three-dimensional texture. The fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch, ensuring comfort of use. Abrasion resistance is 60,000 Martindale cycles, which proves high durability.
IB Kofod-Larsen was a Danish architect and furniture designer known for its elegant, functional design that fits into the aesthetics of Scandinavian modernism. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and was the greatest successes in the 1950s and 1960s. He created mainly from wood often combining teak with natural skin, which gave his projects a warm, luxurious character. His iconic armchairs, such as "Elizabeth Chair" or "Seal Chair", are characterized by soft lines, organic shapes and extraordinary comfort. He collaborated, among others with Faarup Møbelfabrik and Selig. Today, his furniture is valued as design icons and achieve high prices at auctions.
