The modern Moon hanging lamp is one of the first lighting designs by Verner PanTon. This iconic hanging lamp features a fan-like design with ten ring-shaped lamellas that are perfectly placed to provide soft, atmospheric and glare-free light. The blades reflect and filter light, and the lampshade changes its appearance depending on the viewing angle.
The Moon hanging lamp is available in 2 sizes; 34 cm and 44.5 cm.
Verner PanTon was one of the greatest Danish designers of the 20th century, who revolutionized the world of design. Known for his futuristic Pode approach, he created furniture, lighting and accessories that broke traditional forms and introduced bold colors and modern materials. His most famous work is the PanTon chair - the first ever fully one-piece seat made of plastic, which combines sculptural form with functionality. He collaborated with brands such as Vitra and &Tradition. His designs combined functionality with experimentation with form, which made him a design icon of the 1960s and 1970s.
