Andreas Kowalewski

Andreas Kowalewski is a German designer who gained recognition thanks to his work in the area of ​​industrial design. After graduating from study, he studied design on the folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen. He worked for Philips Design, and later founded his own design studio in Munich. Kowalewski collaborated with such brands as Carl Hansen & Søn, Normann Copenhagen and Huawei. His works include furniture, electronics and lighting. His designs are characterized by the simplicity of form and functionality. He won numerous awards for his achievements, including Red Dot and IF Design Award. In 2021 he became a visiting professor at the University of Arts in Halle.
