Lisa Larson

Lisa Larson (1931–2024) was one of the most famous Swedish ceramics designers. She studied in Gothenburg, and her career flourished at the Gustavsberg factory, where she worked for over 25 years. She is known for its characteristic, warm and humor figurines, such as the series "Little Zoo", "Children of the World" or "ABC-Flickorn". Her style is a combination of simplicity, rounded forms and human expression. After leaving Gustavsberg, she founded her own studio and continued her creativity until the late years of her life. She created not only in ceramics, but also in glass and brown. Her works are loved in Sweden and Japan, and Larson herself is considered an icon of Scandinavian design.
