The Convex collection experiments with glass patented by the Czech brand Brokis, using its specific properties and processing methods. The lampshade of this modern lamp, made in the form of a convex lens, pushes the boundaries of functionality and shaping of this living material. Combined with a minimalist, precisely made shape, it creates a discreet and at the same time unconventional setting.
The Convex collection includes a hanging lamp and a wall lamp. Each model is available in two sizes, while the wall variant can also be mounted on the ceiling. Choose from clear triplex opal or a combination of clear triplex opal and gray triplex opal, where the darker sections gradually fade to lighter towards the center of the glass.
Boris Klimek is a valued Czech designer of industrial design, known for combining functionality with a poetic form. He graduated from the Department of Industrial Design at the Artistic University of Prague. His works are often inspired by nature, emotions and childhood memories, which gives them a unique, lyrical character. Klimek designs furniture, lighting and everyday items by working with reputable brands, including Brokis or lasvit. His most recognizable projects include "Memory" lamps, reminiscent of balloons floating from the ceiling. Klimek won many prestigious awards, including the Czech Grand Design. His style combines minimalism with originality, and each work brings an element of surprise and emotions.
