Bestlite is part of the design group of the Danish brand Gubi. The lamp was designed by Robert Dudley Best and celebrates elegant, clean lines with a clear reference to the Bauhaus period. The lamp shade can be rotated 360 degrees. The lamp will brilliantly illuminate, for example; a small table placed in the living room or will serve as an additional light source, e.g. in the bedroom or hall.

Robert Dudley Best was a British designer who revolutionized the lighting industry. As a heir to Best & Lloyd, he decided to create a modern collection of lamps, introducing innovative design. He studied design in Düsseldorf and Paris, where he met Walter Gropius, the founder of Bauhaus, which had an impact on his later work. In 1930 he designed the Bestlite lamp, combining functionality with elegance with simple lines and geometric shapes. The lamp gained international recognition especially after Wins Ton Churchill chose it to his desk. Bestlite has become a symbol of modern design, and today it is produced by the brand Gubi, being an icon of the Bauhaus style. His works remain an important reference point in the history of design.
