Jonas Sondergaard

Jonas Søndergaard is a Danish furniture designer and carpenter, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2015. Already as a young journeyman he won the first places in the Danish and Nordic carpentry championships, which resulted in representing Denmark at Worldskills 2005 in Finland. His projects combine classic carpentry techniques with modern functionality and aesthetics. As an internal designer in Umage, he created furniture collections such as "Treasures" and "Audracious", which are distinguished by Scandinavian minimalism and attention to detail. Søndergaard emphasizes that design is not only an artistic expression, but also a craft that requires understanding the needs of users and production processes. His works are available in the Umage offer and are recognized as a combination of tradition with modern design.
