AJ Royal is one of Arne Jacobsen's designs developed in 1957 for the SAS Royal hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson collection). Back then, the lamp was simply called AJ Pendant. The segmented, spherical design from 1957 is considered Jacobsen's first foray into the basic geometric shapes that characterize the world-famous Danish architect's later designs.
