The VL38 lamp was originally designed for Copenhagen's Radiohuset concert hall in the early 1930s. From then on, it has been an important addition to Louis Poulsen's catalogue. This modern interpretation of a classic lamp is made from a combination of brass steel and aluminum. The lampshade houses a 9.6 W LED and emits soft, light ideal for local lighting.

Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the most outstanding Danish architects of the 20th century, who played a key role in shaping modernist architecture in Denmark.
