Using the timeless material MSDS Studio as a starting point, we created a small table in a completely new, spectacular version. The unconventional arrangement of this slightly eccentric piece of furniture creates an interesting composition that is significantly different from its competitors. What stands out in particular is the table's base, which is made up of seemingly chaotically connected elements. This is the designers' intended goal, which is to somehow mock the classic leg arrangements in similar furniture. As a result, Stock appears as a small, raw piece of steel sculpture that will serve as a practical, stable side table.
The table is available in 4 colors; white, black, blue and wine.
MSDS Studio is a Canadian design studio based in Toronto, founded in 2011 by Jessica Nakanishi and Jonathan Sabine. He specializes in interior design, furniture and lighting, combining Japanese minimalism with Nordic simplicity. Their works are characterized by saving forms, functionality and a deep understanding of materials. The studio has gained recognition thanks to designs for brands such as Normann Copenhagen (Stock table, Hoop hanger), Woud (Annular lamp, Level Level) or +Halle (Boulevard bench system). MSDS Studio also cooperated with companies such as Umbra, Shopify and David Design. Their designs were presented at international fair, including in Stockholm, where as the first Canadian studio they presented their works at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair in 2015.
