Giuseppe Maurizio Scutella

Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà is an Italian industrial designer, born in 1962 at Alcamo, Sicily. He began his career as a technical designer, for 12 years creating casting and injection forms for companies such as Kawasaki, Ducati and Mercedes. In 2008, he established cooperation with Artemide, designing a pirce lamp, which won, among others Good Design Award, Red Dot Award and If Design Award. Scutella combines technical precision with artistic sensitivity, creating projects with a sculptural character. He also collaborated with the brands Ton}}}}}}}}}} Elli, Pandora Design, United-Press and Porcelain Cancer, designing furniture and utility items. His Pode Jest is expressed in the words: "Light is a captivating light sound, beautifully vivid, dynamic, and at the same time intimate and gentle." Scutellà sees design as a combination of functions and emotions, striving to create objects that tell the story through form and light.
