Nis Øllgaard is a Danish industrial designer, a graduate of the architecture school at Aarhus, who has been specializing in the design of everyday products since 1981. His philosophy is based on a harmonious combination of form and functions, where the material plays a key role in defining the utility of the object. One of his most famous projects is a shoe spoon for Normann Copenhagen, awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2013. This minimalist and functional object is characterized by a flexible tip that adapts to the foot and an ergonomic handle. In addition, thanks to the magnetic Emu handle, it can be easily stored on the wall, constituting an aesthetic element of hallway equipment.
