Nis Øllgaard is a Danish industrial designer, a graduate of the architecture school at Aarhus, who has been specializing in the design of everyday products since 1981. His philosophy is based on a harmonious combination of form and functions, where the material plays a key role in defining the utility of the object. One of his most famous projects is a shoe spoon for Normann Copenhagen, awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2013. This minimalist and functional object is characterized by a flexible tip that adapts to the foot and an ergonomic handle.
