Jorgen & Nanna Ditzel

Jorgen and Nanna Ditzel are a pair of Danish designers who played a key role in the development of Danish design in the mid -twentieth century. Jorgen Ditzel was a recognized furniture designer specializing in simple, functional forms, while Nanna Ditzel was a versatile designer, whose work included both furniture, textiles and jewelry. Their cooperation resulted in innovative projects such as the "Hanging Chair" chair (1957), which became one of the symbols of Danish design. The Ditzls put great emphasis on ergonomics and aesthetics, combining simplicity with elegance. Their designs have been awarded and staged at international fair many times, and their heritage lives in classic and modern interiors around the world.
