In 1939, Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen won an open competition to design a new town hall, a new library and a theater in Søllerød (Rudersdal). They designed a wedding hall with accompanying furniture for the town hall; including a waiting room sofa where the couple can sit before the wedding. The sofa's appearance, designed for a celebration, was shaped by high, vertical backrests and sides.
The Mayor sofa comes in 2 sizes; 137 cm and 200 cm (you can choose the color/color of the wooden legs as well as the upholstery material (the manufacturer offers 4 gr. fabrics and 3 gr. natural leather).
