Lars Tornoe

Lars Tornøe is a Norwegian designer, whose work combines the simplicity of Scandinavian design with expressive form and functionality. He graduated from Bergen National Academy of the Arts and quickly gained recognition thanks to projects that balance between sculptural expression and daily usability. He is the author of the iconic DOTS hangers for Muuto as well as furniture and lighting for brands such as & tradition, forums forms and Swedede. His work often operates with soft lines, natural materials and subtle details that give them character. Tornøe focuses on durability and emotional bond between the user and the object. He won many awards, and his projects are presented at exhibitions around the world. This is one of the most important voices of contemporary Scandinavian design.
