Flemming Lassen

Flemming Lassen was a Danish architect and designer, a leading figure of Scandinavian modernism. Together with Arne Jacobsen, in 1929 he created a "house of the future" - a spiral building with be Ton and glass, which revolutionized Danish architecture. His most important projects include the town hall in Søllerød (1942) and the library in Nyborg (1940), for which he received the Eckersberg medal. From the 1960s, he designed libraries and cultural centers, including In Randers, Lund and Herning. In furniture, he became famous for his seats with soft, organic shapes - especially "The Tired Man" from 1935, which became a icon of Danish design.
