Tom Chung is a Canadian industrial designer, born in 1990 in Vancouver, currently living in Amsterdam. In 2016, he founded his own design studio, focusing on the creation of utility subjects and interior design spaces that combine contemporary culture with the local industry. His Pode Jests are based on the context, functionality and experience of the user. He draws inspiration from an active childhood spent in nature, which translates into projects characterized by mobility, lightness and durability. He collaborated with reputable brands, such as Muuto, Petite Friture or eq3, creating, among others "Pi Ton" lamp and the "Fromme" furniture collection. His work is characterized by minimalist aesthetics and precise performance, and the designer himself emphasizes the importance of simplicity and clear goal in design. Chung actively participates in the production process, taking care of every stage of project implementation. His work combines a poetic vision with functionality, crossing the boundaries between art and utility.
