Hvidt & Molgaard
Hvidt & Mølgaard is a Danish duo of designers; Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, active mainly in the 1940s-70s. 20th century. The studio became famous for the combination of traditional craftsmanship with modern design, being one of the pioneers of Danish modernism. Their designs such as AX Chair, Boomerang Chair or Tripod lamps were distinguished by the lightness of the form, functionality and innovative Pode for materials, especially bent plywood. They collaborated with brands like Fritz Hansen} & tradition, and their works are today design icons and are in collections, among others Moma.
