Hiromichi Konno

Hiromichi Konno is a Japanese designer born in 1972, known for joining Japanese precision with Nordic minimalism. He studied product design at the Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan, and then continued his studies at Master's studies in the field of advanced product design at the University of Umeå, Sweden. During his stay in Europe, he worked for three years as an assistant at the renowned designer Ross Lovegrove in London. In 2002 he founded his own design studio in London, and since 2008 he has been running it in Tokyo. Horse, he gained international recognition thanks to designs for brands such as Fritz Hansen, Softline, Georg Jensen, Lexon and Skagen. His most famous work is the Rin ™ chair for Fritz Hansen, which combines the Japanese and Danish tradition of design, offering an elegant and futuristic form. Working with Softline, he created a chat collection, including a sofa, armchair and poufs, characterized by simplicity of form and functionality.
