Backflip by HAY is a foldable wooden chair designed by Gudmundur Ludvik, in which a simple form meets a refined structure. The chair is made of solid beech wood and molded plywood with beech veneer, and the whole thing is finished with a semi-transparent water-based varnish. The most important element of the Backflip Chair is the invisible folding mechanism located in the backrest. It allows you to smoothly fold and unfold the chair and lock it in the selected position. Once folded, they can be easily stored or hung on the optional wall mount that holds up to two chairs.
Backflip HAY will work well in the dining room, kitchen and public interiors. This is a modern folding chair that combines Scandinavian design, ergonomics and convenient storage.
Gudmundur Ludvik is an Icelandic furniture and product designer, born in 1970 in Reykjavik. His professional path combines craft, art and design - before starting his career as a designer, he worked as a carpenter and carpenter. He studied sculpture at the Icelandic Academy of Arts and then furniture design at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen, where he graduated in 2002. He has been living and working in Denmark for years, running his own studio in Vejle and co-founding the Welling/Ludvik studio. In his designs, he focuses on reducing complex problems to simple, intuitive solutions, paying particular attention to design, materials, functionality and durability. His designs are firmly rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of craftsmanship and minimalism.

We offer delivery by courier, company transport or personal collection. Free delivery applies to orders over PLN 300.
