Glass is usually considered to be light and has sharp edges. However, Alwa by Sebastian Herkner is massive and has delicate contours. Raw, hot glass mass with natural bubbles is an imprint of the structure in this uneven, sensitive surface.
The Alwa Three table is perfect for e.g.; as a small place where you can display your favorite decorative figure, vase or photo.

Sebastian Herkner is a German designer whose style combines craftsmanship, tradition and modern technologies. He graduated from Offenbach University of Art and Design, and in 2006 he founded his own studio. It creates furniture, lighting and everyday items for recognized brands such as &Tradition, PULPO and Fritz Hansen. His designs are characterized by soft forms, a sense of color and respect for materials - from glass to ceramics and wood. Herkner values cooperation with craftsmen and is often inspired by cultures from outside Europe.
